We are developing a revolutionary wind turbine smaller in size and weight than conventional turbines of comparable power. The modular turbine is made with fewer scarce resources, makes less noise and has a lower carbon footprint. The patented and certified WhisperRing® design will become the new industry standard.
WhisperRing®;
the wind turbine reinvented
Our patent concerns replacing the current fixed shaft, with a hollow aerodynamically shaped ring, in which a large number of generator modules can move past each other at ideal speed. The shape of the ring also drives the incoming airflow toward the blades, reducing turbulence in air flow. The result is a much higher energy yield. Thanks to this design, the rotational speed of the blades can be reduced and the turbine produces less noise.
Thanks to the modular design of the generator, it is also possible to switch the power (and resistance) on or off. This allows the turbine to function optimally under different wind conditions.
The ring structure eliminates the need for a maintenance-prone gearbox. Also, the turbine is software-adjustable to, for example, connection capacity.
The turbine design is validated and patented. The next step is to complete the detail engineering and after that we will build prototypes that will be tested before the turbine will be taken into production.
